Marika Turano is the director/ producer of The Word Is Love. Ms Turano’s credits include associate producer for An American Love Story directed by Jennifer Fox. Ms Turano directed and produced The Right Step for The Fortune Society. She executive produced BGR Superstars for Henry Street Settlement (directed and edited by children) She was the development consultant for Black Nexxus Films and story editor/script advisor for K&M Films, Su-City Pictures, October Films, and Chamba Media Works.
Michael Turano is a Chicago based director of photography with over two decades of experience in broadcast, cable, corporate, educational, and documentary production. His credits include projects for the BBC, Bravo, Discovery and the National Geographic Channel. Michael’s career has taken him throughout the world, including Eastern Europe, Asia and the Middle East. His experience affords him the unique opportunity to calmly overcome technical challenges and to focus on people and story.
Melissa Neidich has been working in documentary editing for over 15 years. She has primarily edited non-narrated verite documentaries. Her body of work includes the 1998 Independent Spirit Award winning documentary "Soul in the Hole", "Dark Days" which won 3 awards, including the Audience Award, at the 2000 Sundance Film Festival and the 2001 Independent Spirit Award, and "Two Towns of Jasper" which received a 2004 Dupont Award.
